Studio mo man tai visualizes the beauty of population diversity with a flower meadow.

We live in a multicultural society. "The diversity of the population composition ensures balance and wealth," says studio mo man tai.

With 'Reflecting Diverseness', the beauty of population diversity in the Netherlands is symbolized by a large flower field, where each flower species statistically represents a group of people with a specific origin. The installation 'Reflecting Diverseness' consists of thousands of flowers showing variation and together they form a beautiful colorful whole.

Studio mo man tai presents socio-political statistical data in a new way: by visualizing it in a surprisingly different manner. Studio mo man tai has previously visualized datasets. The renewed attention can make a difference and stimulate curiosity and interest.

'Reflecting Diverseness' consists of over 8800 handmade flowers using leftover acrylic mirror material. This provides reflection, literally, but also figuratively in the second instance.

The installation will be shown as part of DDW (Dutch Design Week) from October 18 to 26, 2025, in Eindhoven. The theme of DDW 2025 is 'Past. Present. Possible.'

Studio mo man tai is based in Eindhoven and is formed by designers Ulrike Jurklies and Paul Bas. Last year, mo man tai also presented a socially relevant project at Pennings Foundation: Cloud Cuckoo Land, a research experiment where skate culture and urban design came together. A skate ramp was part of the exhibition 'With one eye open' about the graffiti scene. momantaidesign.com Reflecting Diverseness | Dutch Design Week
