Artist Talk Pippilotta Yerna

Zij maakt fotografieprojecten met haar familie, eerst met haar oudtante (Please, pierce your bones into mine) en vervolgens met haar moeder (She is the canary in the coal mine of a dying empire). De absurdistische scènes geven vorm aan haar angst een dierbare te verliezen. pippilottayerna.com

Deelname is gratis. Wel graag even aanmelden.

Artist Talk

October 31, 2026

14:00 – 15:00

On Saturday, October 31, 2026, Pippilotta Yerna will give an Artist Talk about her series Please, pierce your bones into mine, of which the triptych Pietà is a part.

The Artist Talk is organized as part of her participation in the exhibition LOSS, which is on show at Pennings Foundation until November 21, 2026.

Pippilotta Yerna presents her monumental triptych Pietà, in which the intense, loving relationship with her great-aunt takes centre stage. From this personal bond, she explores how care, closeness, and farewell are inseparably intertwined. The work does not depict an abrupt loss, but a long process of connection and gradual letting go. Through a restrained, multi-part image, Yerna unites love and parting, allowing vulnerability and strength to coexist. pippilottayerna.com
