Salvo Collective has been making publications since 2012. Almost ten years ago, Anne Geene, Arjan de Nooy, Sander Uitdehaag and Vincent van Baar started making and distributing a periodical around a self-imposed, photographically tinted theme. With this they turn the medium of photography inside out. With a different theme in mind (from movement, frame, scale to pixel) they engage in, as they like to call it, photo fiction. Fiction not as associative fantasy, but as the possibility of truth. Just as a good book does not give something, but takes something away: one of your certainties.
Salvo makes and shakes photography
In the exhibition ‘Nothing. Click. Everything' Salvo looks back on the 12 publications, various residencies and exhibitions. In an attempt to find connections, new experiments, insights and possibilities arise.
At Pennings Foundation, in addition to the work from the publications, a fist-sized book, Out-And-Out, is presented in an edition of 4 that rearranges and redefines the printed matter.
