About Pennings Foundation
Pennings Foundation is a presentation platform and knowledge center for photography and video.
The history goes back to 1979. In that year, Harry Pennings started a photography gallery on the Geldropseweg in Eindhoven, with an emphasis on autonomous photography. Work by both established and emerging artists was shown. In 2006, Petra Cardinaal took over the management of the gallery.
In 2018, the move took place to the current location and the activities were expanded. Galerie Pennings became Pennings Foundation. Photography is still central, in every conceivable form or genre. In addition to exhibitions, lectures, workshops and other meetings take place. An educational program is offered and there is a special library of photo books (approx. 6,000), for your perusal forresearch and inspiration.
