Burning Blood Group is founded by Carola Eijsenring in 2014. It then started as a collaboration with some musicians around her poetry. In the course of time the group is extended with other musicians, artists and designers, who brought their hearts & souls to the show in various formations, at all kind of places, around different themes, and always driven by poems from Carola Eijsenring.

The premiere of the third show 'Essential Calling' about inner drives and outer shout outs will be performed on 4th October 2020 at Pennings Foundation. This show will be performed as an independent show during the exhibition of ‘All the World is a Stage’ by Martin & Inge Riebeek. ‘Essential Calling’ refers to and reflects on the central question in the work of Martin & Inge Riebeek: ‘What, to you, is the essence of life?’

am sitting by the old river, listening to her dark voice,

telling me about her lingering loops, her rough tracks,

and painful downfalls, from the very first drops of fresh

water high in the mountain till the mighty flood down

here, now rolling under bridges in crowded towns where

people are walking and talking, rushing and running, in

shouting fights or in still wonder.
